How I support you in your recovery

I specialize in numbing and medicating and work with individuals and families. I support you in your recovery by providing the opportunity to create a life filled with boundaries and safety. Recovery is a continuous process with lots of ups and downs. Support is provided in walking with you as you explore your needs and heal your inner child in order to step out of pathology and into recovery.

How I support you in building a relationship with self

I practice what I preach first and then help guide others in creating their own practice that works best for them. I help you step into your own power and be able to choose how you move forward in their lives and choose who gets to be a part of that. As a therapist specializing in numbing and medicating I can support individuals and families who want to live a more intentional life in recovery.

My personal recovery journey

My program is ACA, Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families. Being a part of a family system with dysfunction both within and outside active addiction was a major defining factor of my recovery. It informs how I show up as a clinician and also how it has defined relationships for me. I am currently in active recovery and have to work daily to be present in that.

My experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate in North Carolina. I have 5 years experience in the field, including experience in a treatment center and in outpatient therapy. I obtained my master’s degree in Social Work from UNC Charlotte in 2023 and joined The HC team in 2023. I obtained double undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Exercise and Sport Science from UNC Charlotte in 2019. I am an experiential therapy resident with a special interest in the power of group process.

More about me

I am a dog mama to my golden retriever, River. I am a dancer at heart and love to use that as a coping skill in my household.

What Element Do You Resonate With?

Air

“I identify with air because it is the most basic need of the human body. Listening to my body and focusing on the basics is what resets me and lets me know when I need to practice self care. As an extrovert it also allows me to communicate and connect with others, which is essential to refilling my cup.”
