How I support you in your recovery

I create room for you to be you. This space allows you to discover what your recovery means to you based on your values and spirit.

How I support you in building a relationship with self

Let’s be a little messy and a lot a bit human. From there, I support you to find the “gray” parts of life where magic can generate. I find it powerful to name the different parts of you (or voices in your head) and, in the same light, build up the authentic human part of yourself that embodies your recovery and lasting resilience. My personal recovery journey

My recovery journey

My continuous recovery journey influences how I show up in our world. And as I consider the journey, it has included unraveling, re-discovery, and self-confrontation. Digging and tapping into the unknown of recovery is not easy, I know firsthand, and yet once I learned that I could trust to be both safe and uncomfortable, it became more tolerable to wiggle into these spaces. I continue to find growth edges, and it is always worth it.My experience

My Experience

I am a Master of Social Work candidate at the University of Michigan and a clinical social work intern at The Healing Collective. I use my previous psychodynamic, bodywork, and somatic teachings and experiences to support recovery for: trauma, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and numbing and medicating (including substance abuse, eating disorders, and disordered eating and movement behaviors) to create inclusive, interactive, and immersive therapeutic experiences. While our bodies constantly talk to us, we might not always be listening. Accordingly, for the past 10 years, I have facilitated yoga, barre, and pilates practices that play with the intertwining actions of structure and freedom. I blend the sacred methods of sound healing with modern science to create sensation-based experiences. Specifically, I use Tibetan and crystal sound bowls to tap into our body’s energy centers and parasympathetic nervous system through the vagus nerve. I also have a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, which I have used to advocate for public health policy and quality improvement changes concerning appropriate, creative, and person-centered services for weight bias, eating disorders, and gender-affirming care.

More about me

I am a passionate dog mommy to a giant Saint Bernard mix, Baloo. We love exploring our natural world, splashing in the water, and collecting natural keepsakes.

Recovery is always an option.

What Element Do You Resonate With?

Earth

I resonate with the grounded spaces of earth. Like the earth and warm grass fields beneath us, I seek to nurture and provide balanced abodes for all. If it weren’t for my logic-driven husband, we would be foster fails for hundreds of animals.

What’s Your Walk Out Song?
