LPCA & Operations Manager
About Me

I support adult individuals and couples by exploring anxiety, depression, identity, self-esteem, thinking patterns, and emotional disconnection. My highest priority as a clinician is offering nonjudgmental empathy and creating a secure sense of safety so that clients can work through their pain and move on from things that no longer serve them. Utilizing a client-centered approach, I incorporate Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques. When I am supporting couples, I use an Emotion Focused Therapy-informed approach. I help both partners explore unacknowledged emotions, learn how to convey those emotions to each other, and create safety and vulnerability within the relationship.

I grew up in Mt. Pleasant, SC and currently live in James Island, SC with my husband and our dog. I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of Charleston, and a master’s degree in clinical counseling from The Citadel. My first experience working with clients was at the College of Charleston Counseling center where I worked with young adults. I then completed my internship at the Charleston VA Couples & Family Clinic, where I supported Veteran’s and their partners. I am now a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in South Carolina. Throughout graduate school, I also worked for a neuropsychologist helping conduct assessments for ADHD, traumatic brain injuries, specific learning disorders, dementia, and other neurological conditions. I have always loved helping others work through various struggles.

When I was a teen I struggled with cyclothymia and generalized anxiety. Asking for help, as hard as it was at the time, led me to this field. Realizing that it can get better, and that we all have healing capabilities within us, was life changing for me. As a member of The Healing Collective team, I am passionate about helping others get connected with the care that they need so that they can be the best version of themselves. Two of my other biggest passions are traveling and music. In my free time I enjoy cooking, doing outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, watching TV, and going to as many concerts as I can.

— What Element Do You Resonate With? —

Earth

“I am most drawn to earth because it is complex and ever-changing. I love its diversity and ability to support so many life forms. Just like the earth, I believe we are all constantly evolving. We grow through the different seasons and shed certain things that no longer serve us.”
